Which of you planning to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough for its completion?

— Luke 14:28

History and Mission

From humble beginnings working in the building trades to the tops of the tower cranes on some of the most iconic facilities in our nation, Lone Star Comprehensive Building Consulting brings a ground up approach to your project.

As is life, a building is comprised of a series of steps and each must take their proper sequence. We will climb the ladder with you one rung at a time to get you to the next level. Honor and ethics remain the most important aspects of doing business. Lone Star was founded on this belief, and it serves as the guiding force behind our company. We realize the inherent responsibility in representing clients, and it defines our process and delivery.

Lone Star is here to provide oversight and guidance on your project, including schedule, material selection, workmanship, and the systems that make it function efficiently. Common sense approaches to planning and construction, in association with the wise use of time and resources, ensures the best value now and for the future generations.

Lone Star

Program, Design, Build

Once the budget is established for a project the work to maintain that and fit the program and design within it makes a cost specialist invaluable. Lone Star has a team of certified professional estimators to help with this most critical piece of the overall project.

Succeed and Obtain Goals

Project planning begins with price. Current cost indexes and expected trends can help to determine where and when the best time to build may be. After measuring the market and determining to build, a feasibility study may be used at a conceptual stage. The study will develop budget estimates and schedules from which the project will be built. Accurate and astute data is the key to success.

Procure, Manage, Inspect, Finish

Safety is our top priority once the first shovel strikes the ground. Schedule and budget parameters are also of great importance and tightly monitored through owner-architect-contractor team meetings along with analysis independent of the design team and/or construction management/general contractors..

Train, Commission, Document

It is imperative that operators be involved as early as possible. Opening a sports facility involves more than simply handling over the keys. Training is necessary before and after Opening Day from the professionals who know the comprehensive aspects of their products.

Our professionals are here to provide useful insight and guidance to both owners and designers. We will make certain that budgets and time are maximized, leading to optimal value.

Evaluating Program, Design, and Budget

Estimating: As with the cost of the project, the estimating process must make everything including the design and program and —most relevant at this stage— the materials, means, and methods, fit within the budget and the divisional breakdowns within that. Lone Star provides a skilled estimation process with certified professionals.

Design Process Into Building While Addressing Permitting and Civil Requirements

Scheduling: Just as cost goes with estimating, the schedule has to be planned. It may sound redundant, but Lone Star excels at breaking down all components into small tasks and getting all members of the team involved. Through years of experience with complex and short time frames, as well as huge 12,000-item schedules, we know how to take you from start to finish seamlessly.

Clear Understanding Of All Products and Systems and How to Use Them

Facility efficiency and longevity should be leading considerations in early planning stages – not once the utility and repair bills begin arriving. Adherence to current practices, regardless of level of certification sought, will enable a system of checks and balances for the quality of materials, workmanship, and environment related to patrons and operators.

Built to Last and Run Efficiently

Sustainability: Lone Star is certified with the USGBC and has many LEED® Accredited Professionals that understand how to build buildings conscientiously and in harmony with the environment. But we also take that same approach with how the building is built and with what materials, and this makes a building sustainable because it is built to last.
